Pakistan hopes reconciliation prevails in B’desh: FO

ISLAMABAD: A Foreign Office spokesman on Friday, while commenting on the situation in Bangladesh, said Pakistan had been closely following the political developments and wished the people of Bangladesh well and hoped that the spirit of reconciliation and an atmosphere free of violence would prevail. The spokesman said it was not Pakistan’s policy to interfere in the affairs of any country, but it had noted the concerns raised by the international community and human rights organisations on the way the recent trials had been conducted, which had added to the current instability in Bangladesh. app
