IHC cancels notification sacking PEMRA ChairmanISLAMABAD: The notification sacking Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) Chairman, Chaudhry Rashid Ahmed has been cancelled by the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
The IHC has issued notices to all parties and summoned their replies, while Chaudhry Rashid Ahmed has been restored as PEMRA Chairman.
Earlier, Chaudhry Rashid Ahmed had challenged his sacking in the Islamabad High Court.
According to a notification issued on Sunday, President Mamnoon Hussain had sacked Chaudhry Rashid Ahmed for his alleged involvement in corruption and illegal activities.
