PTI’s Gandapur wins by-polls in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: According to the unofficial result Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate from PK-67, Dera Ismail Khan, Ikramullah Gandapur has defeated his opponent independent candidate.
In accordance with the unofficial results, Gandapur secured 28,073 votes, while his competitor Fatehullah Miankhel got 14,983 votes. The voting started at 8am and ended at 5pm on Sunday.
At least 91 polling stations were set up for 108,899 registered voters in the constituency. Heavy contingent of police and FC was deployed during the polling to maintain law and order. Before the scheduled time for voting, unidentified assailants attacked Gira Guldad polling station. The attack was followed by firing that injured two policemen.
