Foolproof security ordered for Chehlum, Xmas
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has directed foolproof security arrangements for the Chehlum of Hazrat Imam Husain (RA).
He also directed effective security measures for Christmas as well. He warned that no negligence or laxity would be tolerated in this regard. He said that elected representatives and administrative and police officers should remain present in the field for security of mourning processions while generators and lights should also be arranged on the routes of the processions. He directed that additional police force be deployed at sensitive places and all necessary measures be adopted for maintaining peace and law and order.
He was addressing elected representatives, commissioners and regional police officers of the nine division of the province through video conference.
