PTI takes out rallies against inflation

* Vows to take action if govt does not act to curb inflation

QUETTA: Huge protest demonstrations and sit-ins were staged by the workers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf against the rising inflation across the country, on Sunday.
Under the leadership of PTI’s provincial president Qasim Khan Soori the workers carried out rallies from different parts of the city that culminated in a sit-in at Quetta Metropolitan Office. Addressing the protesters, Soori said that the incumbent government has utterly failed to put a break on the rising inflation in the country. He said that the unbridled inflation is compelling people to commit suicide.
The ruling party and its allies in the Centre and the province have failed to deliver on their promises, he said, adding that the PTI has kept reminding the rulers that the incidents of kidnapping for ransom, lawlessness and violence have not subsided in Balochistan and that the government has failed to deliver on the promises of curbing drone attacks, rampant unemployment and halting the military operations.
Soori said that Pakistan has been turned into a state of multitude of problems and claimed that the PTI had the spirit and strength to make Pakistan a prosperous country, therefore it had given a period of six months to improve the situation. He claimed that the current government has done nothing other than contributing to rising inflation.
The PTI leader said that factories are being closed due to the rising prices of gas and electricity, which is rendering the labourers unemployed.
He said that if the federal government does not devise a strategy to control inflation, PTI would take action.
