Govt achieved ‘considerable goals’ in uplift sector: minister
QUETTA: Balochistan Minister for Planning and Development (P&D) Dr Hamid Achakzai said on Monday the government had achieved “considerable goals” in the development sector during the past six months.
Addressing a press briefing at Balochistan P&D Department, he said that the current government had compiled a “comprehensive and unique” Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP), adding that top priority would be given to health and education sectors.
He said that current PSDP includes a share of 23 percent for education and 9.21 percent for health. He said that volume of the current government’s PSDP for the year 2013-14 is Rs 44 billion and 739 projects would be completed through this amount.
He said that although there had been some delays, the government was determined to complete these projects in time.
