Sindh CM, Governor visit Mazar-e-Quaid

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah and Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan visited the mausoleum of the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to pay homage to the great leader on his 137th birthday being celebrated across the country today (Wednesday), Geo News reported.

Sindh CM and the Governor laid wreaths and offered Fateha at the mausoleum.

Talking to media on this occasion, Sindh CM Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the matter relating to the Sindh Local Government Bill was in the court and whatever be the decision of the court would be accepted.

He said that the legislations in Sindh Assembly being done in consultations with the opposition and efforts were afoot to serve the people with consensus and unity.

Sindh CM said the constitution exists in the country and the judiciary has played a key role, suo moto became very popular as the people got relief. The freedom in the country was no less than any other, he said.

Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that the democracy and the institutions have gained strength in the country, the human rights stand restored and now poverty has to be eradicated and the people should get their rights.

Responding to question, he said that the pillion riding was banned for maintaining law and order.

Sindh Governor, Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan on this occasion felicitating the birthday of the father of the nation said that we should follow in the footsteps of the Quaid-e-Azam the way he strived to unite the Muslims.

The nation should resolve today to run the country in accordance with the golden principle of the Quaid. The only way to meet the present day challenges was to run the country on the Quaid’s principles and become a united nation, he said.
