ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistan wanted good relations with all neighbouring countries.

PM Nawaz was addressing the inaugural ceremony of the new block at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad on Friday.

“Diplomacy is the first defense line for any country and it should be used for promoting trade”, the premier said and added that diplomacy has acquired a new meaning as diplomats play an important role in promoting peace.

Nawaz further said: “diplomatic prosperity and economic prosperity go hand in hand.”

The Prime Minister said it was their top priority to fight terrorism and eradicate poverty. He said that the government wanted trade‚ not aid.
