MQM, Ch. Nisar discuss forging united opposition in Sindh
KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and the Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday discussed the possibility of forming a united opposition in Sindh, especially in the backdrop of the impending local bodies elections, Geo News reported.
Sources said that a delegation of the MQM and the Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan in a meeting held at the Governor House here discussed Karachi law and order situation and some other matters.
MQM delegation apprised the interior minister that no sooner do they raise voice as a major opposition party in Sindh against the misdoings of the provincial government than the political victimization of the MQM activists intensifies in the garb of Karachi operation.
The meeting said to have finalized a joint strategy of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and MQM under which the two parties will continue holding meetings in future also, while the forging of a united opposition in Sindh was also mooted. Both the parties also agreed on keeping better relations in future.
MQM delegation comprised of Dr. Farooq Sattar, Kanwar Naveed Jamil, Dr. Saghir, Babar Ghauro and Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui.
