‘Attack’ on PTI protest shocks Imran Khan
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan has said that he is shocked over an ‘attack’ at its party’s ‘peaceful protest’ near Bilawal House.
In a microblogging website, Imran Khan tweeted “Shocked to c (see) PTI's peaceful protest in Khi (Karachi), against the nonimplementation of a court order 4 (for) removal of illegal Bilawal House wall, attacked”
“Shameful how the feudal mindset of dynastic-controlled political parties allows their ldrs (leaders) 2 (to) usurp public property for its personal needs,” he said.
Imran Khan further said that when the PTI peacefully protests to challenge the illegal behaviour and non-compliance of court orders, it is physically attacked. Is this democracy, he questioned.
The PTI chief expressed hope that all protestors including senior leaders including Dr Arif Alvi and women are safe.
