Jan 18 LB polls not possible after SLGA amendments declared void: Sharjeel
KARACHI: Sindh Local Bodies Minister, Sharjeel Memon Monday said that the holding of local bodies elections on January 18 has turned impossible after the amendments in Sindh Local Government Act-2013 (SLGA-2013) have been declared unconstitutional and illegal by the Sindh High Court (SHC), Geo News reported.
Sharjeel Memon said that the new strategy in the backdrop of SHC short order would be finalized after the announcement of detail order. He further said that the legislating a law and making amendment in it was the right of the assembly and its members.
