Country shivers in icy cold, heavy snowfall in upper areas
ISLAMABAD: Heavy snowfall in the upper areas of the country including Malakand Division, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir hit by the piles of accumulated snow have blocked all the link roads and virtually forced the people in the areas to live confined to their homes in siege, Geo News reported.
While in the plane areas of the country some cities/towns of Punjab including Jhang and Sialkot lashed by rain went further cold somewhat hampering the normal life.
The famous tourists attractions Kalam, Malam Jabba, Shangla in the upper areas of Malakand Division, the upper areas in Chitral and the different districts in Gilgit Baltistan, Diamar and Ghazar receiving intermittent snowfall. The piles of accumulated snow have blocked all the link roads causing immense difficulties for the people in moving about for their routine chores.
Chilas, Batoga top, Nayat valley and Babusar valley and in Azad Kashmir in Neelum valley, Kail, Athmuqam and other areas also receiving intermittent snowfall keeping the people confined to their homes.
