Minister reviews Workers Welfare Board projects

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Pir Syed Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi presided over a meeting of senior officers of the Workers Welfare Fund and Workers Welfare Board, Sindh, to review the development projects being executed by Workers Welfare Board, Sindh.
The meeting was also attended by the Sindh Labour Department secretary. The Workers Welfare Fund, Islamabad secretary gave a detailed presentation and briefing to the participants of the meeting. Senator Syed Muazaffar Hussain Shah also attended the meeting on the special invitation of the minister.
After receiving a detailed briefing, the federal minister directed the officers of Workers Welfare Fund and Workers Welfare Board to ensure early completion of the ongoing projects and emphasised maintenance of transparency in the projects. He said that the relevant authorities may be approached for vacation of apartments/flats occupied by illegal occupants. Rashidi reiterated that the government is committed to provision of maximum relief to the industrial workers, therefore, flats are being constructed for labourers in Sukkur, Benazirabad (Nawabshah) and Sajawal.
