Govt decides to convene joint sitting of Parliament
ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to convene a joint sitting of the Parliament in the wake of Peshawar carnage, sources said Tuesday.
The sources said that the joint session of the National Assembly and the Senate would debate the Peshawar tragedy while the national action plan on terrorism was also likely to be approved during the sitting.
The sources said that the session would be convened after the Senate session was concluded.
They further added that the prime minister had expressed reservations over the demand for the joint session shortly after the Peshawar massacre.
