PM cancels scheduled appointments, holds meetings to end terrorism
Nawaz says every citizen of Pakistan irrespective of religion, caste and creed will be protected

ISLAMABAD - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday cancelled all his appointments to focus on ways to tackle the issue of terrorism and extremism and to purge Pakistan of this scourges.
The prime minister in this regard will be holding a series of meetings that would continue throughout the day with his cabinet and military colleagues, and may lead to radical changes and reforms, an official source at the PM’s House said. The meetings will also be held with the legal team for finding permanent solution of issues and to remove lacunas in the existing laws.
The prime minister during his meetings will address the issue of terrorism and its root causes. “We cannot forget and forgive the atrocities committed by the barbarians in Peshawar, Quetta and Wahga,” he told participants of the meetings. He said that every citizen of Pakistan irrespective of religion, caste and creed will be protected and added “no cause is holier than protecting the life and property of every citizen of Pakistan.”
