Politicians, bureaucracy jointly developing KPK: Imran Khan

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Imran Khan on Tuesday said for the first time Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government, politicians and bureaucrats are working hand-in-hand for development of the province.

Imran Khan took up a broom and inaugurated the cleanliness drive under Green Peshawar campaign.

Speaking on the occasion, the PTI chief said his party’s provincial government will transform KPK into a model province for other federating units of the country.

"The government will build parks and restaurants on land belonging to Auqaf, Jail and Fort Bala Hasar," Imran Khan announced.

According to unofficial results of over 85 percent polling stations in Punjab obtained by Geo News at the time of this report, the PTI had managed to secure only 251 seats out of 2,326 seats.

PTI's main rival party, the ruling Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N), was leading with 1,049 seats while independent candidates had managed to bag 912 seats.
