Hamza predicts PML-N’s victory in third phase of LG polls in Punjab
LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Member of National Assembly (MNA) and son of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Hamza Shahbaz on Friday said the ruling party would secure a comfortable victory in the third and final phase of Local Government elections, scheduled for Saturday, December 5.
Speaking to media representative after holding a meeting with a Chinese delegation here, he said the PML-N would emerge victorious with heavy margin in tomorrow’s polls again like in the first two phases of the local bodies elections in Punjab.
Hamza said his party was not being unrealistic or arrogant in claiming the win a day before the polling but the provincial government was confident in its governance and welfare projects for the masses.
Taking a jibe at main rivals Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its chief Imran Khan, he said the Chinese president wanted to present Pakistan a gift of $46 billion but 126 days of the nation were wasted in a futile protest sit-in last year.
Hamza Shahbaz invited the PTI chairman to join hands with the government in the ongoing welfare and development projects.
The PML-N leader said his party neither had responded to Imran Khan’s abusive language in the past nor will it do so in the future. “People are responding on our behalf by casting votes to PML-N,” he added.
