Corps Commander Karachi, CM Sindh discuss extension in Rangers’ powers

KARACHI: Corps Commander Karachi, Lt-Gen. Naveed Mukhtar on Thursday called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and discussed law and order and issue of extension in the powers of Rangers.

In the meeting, held at CM House, Sindh Home Minister Sohail Ahmed Siyal and Senior Minister Murad Ali Shah were also present.

Qaim Ali Shah apprised the Corps Commander over reservations of Sindh Government and its viewpoint on the extension of the powers of paramilitary force.

The special powers of Rangers have ended five days back and the Sindh government has linked its extension with the approval of Sindh Assembly.
