Imran for Pak-India talks on every issue including Kashmir

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman, Imran Khan while observing that issues between two nuclear states cannot be resolved through war called for holding talks with India on all issues including that of Kashmir.

At a media interaction at Lahore airport upon his return from India, Imran Khan said he held an exchange of views on various matters with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a pleasant atmosphere. “We also exchanged views on promotion of cricket and rights of the minorities,” he added.

He called for resumption and continuity of talks between the two neighbouring countries with an aim to defuse tension.

“The nation will have to decide whether it wants to live in war-like atmosphere or in peace,” he asserted.

He said the next thing that the nation has to make up its mind on is whether the struggle against corruption is to be carried on or not. “A democratic rule’s aim is nothing else but elimination of corruption,” he added.

Imran Khan also held a meeting with the officials of Pakistan International Airline (PIA) and assured them of his support in connection with the proposed privatization of the national flag carrier.

“We will ask the government as to how it came to the decision of privatization in the dark of the night,” he said.
