Qaim for construction of towers in memory of blast victims

KARACHI - The Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, has directed the authorities concerned to start construction work of the memorial towers each in the memory of Shikarpur and Jacobabad blast incidents.

A statement here on Friday said that he directed IG Sindh Police to coordinate and prepare Sindh-Baluchistan forces joint strategy , especially to stop criminal infiltration in the upper Sindh with immediate effect and take sever action against banned organization activities, if any, in the province.It said that he directed this while presiding over the meeting of Shuhda Committee for Shikarpur and Jacobabad incidents, held at CM house this evening.

Addressing the meeting the Chief Minister Sindh said that he himself and his administration responded the incident with immediate effect. We shifted the injured of both incidents to the Karachi through special plane, provided effective medical treatment to injured at Aga Khan Hospital with free of cost'.

The CM stated that we provided Rs 20 lac to heir of each martyr of Jacobabad incident within a week time. He also announced for providing government job to the successors of Martyrs and arms license to under threat important persons but after the lifting of the ban. Qaim also announced that the compensation of Rs 2 lac to minor injured and Rs 10 lac to seriously injured would also be provided to 6 affectee of Jackobabad incident shortly and asked the officer concerned to proceed this matter with immediate effect.

The Chief Minister announced for building the memorial towers in the memory of the martyrs of Shikarpur and Jacobabad and directed officers concerned to start the work within two weeks. He said that it has been reported that terrorists, who mostly having their dens in Mastoon, Balochistan, are coming into the Sindh for their nefarious designs.

He direct IG Sindh Police to ensure strict vigilance specially at the entry points from Baluchistan province and establish more police station of Counter Terrorism Dept CTD in these bordering districts.He direct IG Sindh Police to contact with the Balochistan top administration and prepare a Sindh Balochistan joint strategy against the terrorism and make sure that there is no such terrorist attack in future.

The Chief Minister Sindh while expanding the Shuhda Committee also nominated MNA Aijaz Jakchrani, Provincial Minister Mumtaz Jakhrani, Syed Nasir Hussain Shah as the member of the Committee and asked them Committee to get all decisions implemented within time frame.
