Let's see how you impose governor rule in Sindh: Khuhro
KARACHI: Senior Sindh Minister Nisar Khuhro has dared the Federal government to come forward and declare governor’s rule in Sindh.
“You want to undermine the significance of democratic institutions by imposing governor’s rule (in Sindh),” Nisar Khuhro said in a statement issued here.
Expressing his surprise, Khuhro said ‘you want to adopt the path of 1999 in a province where law and order situation has improved’.
He said it is for the Sindh government to decide whether it wants Rangers deployed in a district, division or the entire province. Rangers will be requisitioned for the area where order has been compromised, he added.
Khuhro clarified that the provincial government has not made any decision to send back the paramilitary force.
He said the opposition wasted the opportunity at today’s session of Sindh Assembly and ruled the possibility for the resolution in connection with extension in Rangers' power to be tabled tomorrow.
