Saira visits PM's National Health Programme card distribution centre
APPISLAMABAD - Minister of State for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, Saira Afzal Tarar on Wednesday visited the card distribution centre of Prime Minister's National Health Programme at Sector G-7.
The visit was made to assess the progression of the PM's National Health Programme before its official launch, said a press release. The minister reviewed the procedure of beneficiary enrolment and distribution of health cards and raised many questions on the procedures of enrolment.
She was accompanied by the Federal Secretary Health, Ayub Sheikh and Director General (Health) Dr Assad Hafeez. She showed her confidence in the procedures of the programme being carried out and personally interacted with the members of the card distribution center team and encouraged them on this cause.
Minister of State also visited the Rawal General and Dental Hospital and assessed the proceedings of the program in the hospital.The minister personally followed the procedure through which a program beneficiary will access the health care services from the hospital.
She praised the commitment of the hospital staff and their diligence. Hospital management assured the minister that all necessary steps would be taken to provide state of the art services to the program beneficiaries.
