MQM bags two seats, PPP one in Husri town committee

HYDERABAD - The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) bagged two seats and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) one in the by-polls held here Thursday in four wards of Town Committee Husri.
According to unofficial and unconfirmed results, MQM's Mohammad Javed and Intizar Ali won from the wards 4 and 2 respectively, while PPP's Ghulam Murtaza Shoro secured ward 1.
An independent candidate, Ghulam Mohammad Sarai, also won from ward 5.The TC Husri consists of 6 wards but the by-polls were held on its 5 wards.
The PPP candidate Anwar Shahani had won unopposed from ward 3. The elections on ward 6 will be held on December 30.
