Army chief announces construction of Cadet College in North Waziristan
Army to remain in N Waziristan till return of displaced persons

RAWALPINDI – Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has announced construction of a Cadet College in North Waziristan, the Inter-Services Public Relations said on Monday.

According to the statement, General Sharif said the army would remain in North Waziristan till the complete rehabilitation of temporarily displaced persons.

He was also briefed about the progress on Zarb-e-Azb military operation, intelligence-based operations and return of temporarily displaced persons in the area.

Talking to troops on the occasion, he commended all officers and men for their courage, determination and spirit of sacrifice displayed by them in the war against terrorism.

He said that terrorist networks and their linkages were being unearthed across the country, adding that this nexus would be broken at all cost to bring enduring peace.

Later, the army chief inaugurated 110-bedded Tehsil Headquarters Hospital at Mir Ali, which has been equipped with state-of-the-art equipment. He lauded the army engineers for their dedicated efforts in executing quality construction work.
