Ex-envoy says India’s seriousness towards dialogue a positive notion

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s former ambassador to the UN Masood Khan said that Pakistan and India are now fully aware of the ground realities that disputed issues can only be resolved through talks and this was a positive notion.
Talking to a private news channel, the former diplomat said that India has shown seriousness towards dialogue process with Pakistan and this would bring positive results. “This is our moral victory as Pakistan always asked to resolve all outstanding issues through dialogue,” he said.
He said that Pakistan had made many attempts during recent period to resume talks with the neighboring country that shows Pakistan’s stance on importance of dialogue to resolve all issues between the two countries.
Masood Khan said that continuity of dialogue process was the only way to go ahead. He said that foreign secretaries of both countries would meet next month to set the agenda. He also stressed the need of people-to-people contacts between both countries to create the atmosphere of trust.
