US ambassador calls on Defence minister
Asif lauds role of US companies in energy sector, infrastructure development, economic uplift in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD - US ambassador David Hale on Wednesday called on Federal Minister for Defence Muhammad Asif.
During the meeting, areas of mutual interest and cooperation in the field of energy and defence sector came under discussion, said a press release. The US envoy and the minister discussed regional and international security situation in detail, agreeing that peace in Afghanistan would lead to peace in the whole region.
The minister lauded the role of US companies in energy sector, infrastructure development and economic uplift in Pakistan, and hoped that Pakistan-US relations would further strengthen with each passing day.
