Target killings, extortion made people hostage in Sindh: Mumtaz
SUKKUR: Former Sindh chief minister and governor Mumtaz Ali Khan Bhutto has said
that restoring the powers of Rangers by the Centre is an example of loyalty with Sindh.Talking to different delegations here on Thursday, he said that for the last seven years, target killings, kidnappings for ransom, corruption, extortion and other social crimes had made the people of Sindh hostage.He said that making threats to the Centre over the Rangers powers by the PPP Sindh government was not in the interest of the people of the province.He said that in the other provinces, there was no governance issue and that was why the Centre did not interfere.
