Bilawal Bhutto visits Bisma’s house in Lyari
KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Saturday visited the house of Bisma, 10-month-old minor girl who died outside the Civil Hospital Karachi as her father failed to reach the facility due to VVIP protocol.
PPP Chairman expressed condolences with Bisma’s father Faisal and assured him government job besides financial assistance of the family.
Bilawal said he was feeling shame as Bisma’s father was hurt by the statement of senior minister Nisar Khuhro.
10-month-old baby girl died on Wednesday when her father carrying his daughter, who was suffering from measles and had high fever, was prevented by security and protocol officials from reaching the CHK for treatment.
All the roads leading to the Civil Hospital and its newly-established trauma center had been closed for vehicular traffic as well as pedestrians as the PPP chairman and Sindh CM were expected to reach there for the inauguration of trauma center for the poor and needy patients of Karachi and the interior of Sindh.
Hours after the death of the girl due to VVIP security protocol, Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari ordered inquiry into the incident, saying he is anguished over Bisma's death and is personally inquiring into this ‘heart breaking incident to ascertain what went wrong’.
Taking strong notice of the reports, he ordered the Sindh government for an impartial inquiry into the incident.
