PM summons Sindh CM to Islamabad to discuss Rangers issue

KARACHI - Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Monday summoned Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Qaim Ali Shah to Islamabad to discuss Rangers issue.

Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah has said he would meet the prime minister in the federal capital after discussion on Rangers issue with party leadership. Nawaz arrived in Karachi to review work on various developmental projects of Port Qasim Authority and Port Qasim Power Project. Qaim Ali Shah received the prime minister on his arrival.

The prime minister is accompanied by Minister for Finance and Economic Affairs Ishaq Dar, Minister for Commerce Khurram Dastagir and Minister for Water, Power and Defence Khawaja Asif on the daylong visit.

During the visit, the prime minister inspected the site of Port Qasim Power Project. The visit comes a day after political atmosphere heated up following Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari‘s accusations on the ruling Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) for allegedly victimising the opposition party in the name of National Action Plan.
