Nisar demands elimination of crime in country

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Tuesday said that he wanted crime level in the country to be reduced to zero. He was attending a passing-out parade of the Rapid Response Force.

In its first batch, 409 cadets passed out including 341 constables, 45 lady constables and 33 drivers.

The Rapid Response Force was established in accordance with the National Action Plan. The force will be established in all four provinces.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nisar expressed his appreciation over the fact that appointments in the department for the last three years had been transparent.

“Police officials to do not belong to anyone, they are here to serve Pakistan,” he said.

The interior minister demanded that the police should abide by the law and said, “I want zero crime in the country.”

He added that bomb blasts used to occur every other day in the last government’s tenure.

Addressing the cadets, Nisar said, “Serve the nation. Stop terrorists from entering Islamabad. Establish your control in the capital.”
