By: PPI

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup Pakistan, there is significant division amongst Pakistani citizens over recent changes in the popularity of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

37% of Pakistanis believe the PM’s popularity has increased over the last three years while 33% believe it has decreased.

A nationally representative sample of 1851 men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “According to some people the popularity of Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has declined in public over the last three years, according to some it has increased, while according to some there is no difference. What is your opinion?”

In response to this question only 29% said there had been no difference while one per cent did not know or did not wish to respond.

The survey, which was carried out from September 12 to September 19 has an error margin of approximately ± three per cent at 95% confidence level.
