PML-N willing to make sacrifices for democracy: Nawaz
LAHORE: Former premier Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that for the sake of democracy, his party was willing to give sacrifices.
Nawaz also discussed the upcoming general election and asked Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) workers to increase their interaction with the people since 2018 would be the year of elections.
Previously, on Wednesday, Nawaz announced that his brother Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif was PML-N’s candidate for premiership. The announcement came after a meeting held at his residence Jati Umra.
The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and issues such as Federally Administered Tribal Areas’ (FATA) merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and the deadlock persistent on the matter.
