Rana Afzal to hold Finance portfolio, will take oath next week

The notification of his appointment as the finance minister will be issued today and the senior leader will be taking the oath next week

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader from Faisalabad Rana Afzal is going to be made the finance minister of the country and will take the oath next week.

According to sources, the notification of his appointment as the finance minister will be issued today and the senior leader will be taking the oath next week.

The portfolio of the finance ministry has been lying vacant ever since Ishaq Dar had left Pakistan on an indefinite leave. Dar is facing corruption charges with National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and his arrest warrants were also issued by the accountability court.
