Shehbaz leaves for Saudi Arabia
LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left for Saudi Arabia, where he is expected to meet key Saudi government officials reportedly.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader will discuss issues of regional importance with the officials there in Saudi Arabia.
It is Shehbaz’s first visit to any country after being nominated as PML-N’s candidate for the premiership in the next general elections.
Shahbaz left for the kingdom following a meeting with the Saudi ambassador to Pakistan in Lahore on Saturday.
Earlier, envoys from other 16 countries also visited the chief minister.
Saudi government sent a private plane for the chief minister.
He will also perform Umrah during his visit to Kingdom.
