Govt all set to bring looted money back: Advisor to PM

ISLAMABAD: The government has started the process of bringing back the looted money and an agreement with the Britain will be signed to bring back those who are hiding there.

Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Accountability Shahzad Akbar on Wednesday stated this while giving an interview to a local channel.

He said that assets worth $11 billion have been hiding in 26 countries and the government has started the process to bring the looted money back to the country.

Akbar disclosed that the accountability process will also be launched against those government officials who are involved in money laundering.

He further stated that an agreement with the Britain will be signed to bring back the looted money as it would be easy to bring the money when the accused were handed over to Pakistan.
