10% IDC imposed on CNG, prices go upISLAMABAD: The federal government notified imposition of 10 percent Infrastructure Development Cess (IDC) on CNG with effect from today (Wednesday). After imposition of the new tax, CNG prices will be increased from Rs 73.58 per kilogramme to Rs 74.30 per kg in Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, Balochistan and Potohar region (Rawalpindi, Islamabad and Gujar Khan) and from Rs 69.24 to Rs 69.62 per kg in Sindh and Punjab (excluding Potohar region). Petroleum Secretary Ijaz Chaudhry unveiled a proposed plan in a meeting of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Petroleum held on Tuesday
