Nation set to celebrate Eid Milad-un-Nabi (PBUH) today
ISLAMABAD: The nation will be celebrating Eid Milad-un-Nabi with religious reverence and fervour, renewing the pledge to follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The day will begin with special prayers for development, safety, peace, unity and brotherhood amongst the followers of the Prophet (PBUH). Special security arrangements have be made to maintain law and order across the country on the occasion of 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal.
Newspapers and magazines have published special supplements, while television channels and radio stations will arrange special naatia mushairas and quiz programmes on Seerat-e-Mustafa (PBUH).
All major government and private buildings, residential plazas, markets, mosques, roundabouts and even houses have been decorated for the occasion. Mahafil-e-milad and public meetings will be held in different parts of the country, while the faithful will actively participate in the programmes organised by various local, religious and social organisations. app
