KARACHI: Sindh Technical Education and Training Authority Minister Abdul Salam Thaheem on Saturday said that Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) government was determined to provide youth with technical education and training for their better future. He expressed these views at a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony between Sindh Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (STEVTA) and Hunnarmand Foundation Pakistan (HFP). Managing Director STEVTA Abdul Wahid Uqeli, Chief Executive Officer HFP and other dignitaries were also present. The HFP has handed over all executive powers to Vocational Training Institution Korangi to provide training to the students. The induction ratio of trainee students will be 70% from urban and 30% from rural areas. Thaheem said that the PPP was proving employment to hapless and educated people on merit. “We change the mindset of young generation for depending on the governmental jobs”. He said that the PPP government had been complying with Shaheed Benazir Bhutto’s vision to provide employment to the people of Sindh and equip youth with technical education and training.
