Memo Commission directs Attorney General to write to RIM again
ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission tasked with probing the memo scandal on Thursday directed the Attorney General to once again write to Reseach in Motion (RIM) for releasing Blackberry data.
The commission also directed the Foreign Ministry to present details regarding any existing agreement between Pakistan and Canada regarding exchange of dossier.
Earlier the commission was informed by Akram Shekih the counsel for Mansoor Ijaz that his client could not be summoned and his statement should be recorded at the Pakistani High Commission in London or Zurich.
Attorney General in his arguments said that the commission should not take the risk to travel abroad for a untrustworthy person like Mansoor Ijaz.
Meanwhile, Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir also appeared before the commission as he was summoned earlier.
