Japan to fund vocational training centre in Karachi

Karachi: The Consulate General of Japan, Karachi, on behalf of the government of Japan, is holding the Grant Contract Signing Ceremony with Starfish Karachi, entitled ‘Project for Constructing Starfish Vocational Training Centre at SITE Town in Karachi’.

For this project, the Consulate General of Japan shall provide Starfish Karachi with $101,007 (about Rs 8.6 million) in order to construct a vocational training centre in a disadvantaged Christian community of SITE Town and to install equipments for different kinds of the technical training. The signing ceremony will take place on Monday (today) at 03:00pm sharp at the Japan Cultural Center of the Consulate General of Japan at Karachi.

Masaharu Sato, the Consul General of Japan will represent the Japanese government while the president Anser Javed will represent Starfish Karachi. ppi
