Strike-hit centres reopening: NADRA

LAHORE: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) said on Friday it is fully committed to solving all the problems of its employees.
According to NADRA spokesperson, the striking employees have been directed to resume their duties, and most have already returned to work. In view of the strike by the employees, the authority has started new hirings to solve the problems being faced by the public in getting their national identity cards and B-forms, and applications from eligible candidates have been invited. The spokesperson said 30 new employees had reported to work.
As a result of the actions being taken by NADRA, Township, Peco Road, Liberty Market, DHA and Shami Road centres have already become fully operational, the spokesperson said, adding that the centres of Kotli Loharan, Sabzpir, Nowshera Warkan, Kobeychak, Sialkot and Church Road of districts of Lahore region are also becoming operational and the people are turning toward these centres to get their identity documents.
