NADRA regularises 14,000 contract employeesISLAMABAD: The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) Board, following the directives of Interior Minister Rehman Malik, announced regularisation of more than 14,000 of its contract employees.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting held between high officials of NADRA and the Interior Ministry on Tuesday and NADRA officials forwarded the recommendations in this regard to the Interior Ministry.
The recommendations would now be forwarded to a special committee chaired by Federal Minister Khurshid Shah, in order to remove any legal and other loopholes. After the approval of these recommendations, a notification to regularise all contract employees would be issued. It is pertinent to note that NADRA's contract employees had been protesting for regularisation of their jobs. online
