Five dead, dozens hurt in 2 Peshawar cinema blasts
PESHAWAR: Five people lost their lives and dozens others were injured when two hand grenade blasts in quick succession ripped through a packed cinema house in Peshawar on Sunday, Geo News reported quoting rescue sources.
Police and emergency services reached the site of the tragic incident and the dead and injured were shifted to Lady Reading Hospital. Death toll could rise as doctors have described the condition of some of the injured as critical.
According to CCPO Najibullah who visited the site of incident, the blasts were carried out with the help of hand grenades.
Rescue services continued inside the unfortunate cinema theater till last reports came in.
