Ready to meet Taliban’s committee: Siddiqui
ISLAMABAD: The coordinator for the government’s committee, Irfan Siddiqui said they were ready to hold talks with the Taliban’s committee today.
Siddiqui’s statement came as the Taliban issued a statement reposing confidence in the three member committee nominated by them to hold talks with the government’s committee.
Earlier, Siddiqui has announced that the government’s committee had excused itself from today’s (Tuesday) meeting seeking clarification over the status of the Taliban’s committee.
Following Siddiqui’s announcement, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said the Taliban’s committee was final and no new names would be added.
