Maulana Sami claims Taliban’s war is for implementation of constitution
ISLAMABAD: Maulana Samiul Haq claimed the Taliban are fighting the war for the implementation of the constitution which has been violated by Pakistan's leadership.
Speaking to the media after addressing a Kashmir solidarity rally, Maulana Sami who is a member of the committee nominated by the Taliban said a decision over the meeting with the government committee will be made after consultations with other members today (Wednesday).
Maulana Sami added the government’s committee had not taken any steps and they should initiate talks soon with his committee in order to reach the Taliban. According to Maulana Sami it was everyone’s demand for Sharia to be implemented and the real issues were to separate from the US war and deliverance from slavery.
Earlier while addressing the rally, Maulana Sami said he had expected Nawaz Sharif to renounce the foreign war when he became prime minister but he (Nawaz Sharif) failed to live up to this expectation.
