US delivers curriculum, vehicle to Sindh Police
KARACHI: The US handed over the last of the three coasters, dedicated to transporting female police officers, to Sindh police in a ceremony on Thursday. The handover happened at a ceremony announcing a new modern and practical police-training programme for which US Consul General Michael Dodman and officials from the US State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) joined Inspector General Shahid Nadeem Baloch and Sindh Police leadership. Speaking at Sindh Police headquarters, Dodman praised the new curriculum, and said, “Working together, Sindh Police and INL officials have developed a new training regime for police forces in the province, that will increase their professionalism, improve their investigative skills, and ultimately improve law and order throughout Sindh.” The INL-funded Curriculum Development Project creates several new training programmes to be implemented by Sindh Police throughout the province in the coming months.
