Encouraging response from Taliban leadership: Maulana Sami
ISLAMABAD: Maulana Samiul Haq the chief of his own faction of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-S (JUI-S) Monday said that some encouraging response has been received from the Taliban Shura and urged that the dialogue process was a national issue and should be dealt with calmly.
Addressing a press conference at Akhora Khattak along with other members of the Taliban committee, Maulana Samiul Haq said the member of committee held talks with the Taliban leadership in Miranshah, which continued until this morning. He said that a breakthrough has been made with a consensus decision to hold talks within the framework of the constitution.
Maulana said all of us should strive to make the talks a success by remaining conscious that no harm is done during the process.
Taliban negotiation committee coordinator, Yusuf Shah on this occasion said that meaningful talks were held with the political committee of the Taliban, who responded positively and we are hopeful that the process of talks would move ahead.
