Taliban team hold talks with Maulana Samiul Haq
ISLAMABAD: The Taliban team Monday morning left from North Waziristan by helicopter and reached Akora Khattak where talks with Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUII) leader Maulana Samiul Haq are underway, Geo News reported.
The Taliban talk team comprises of Professor Ibrahim, Yusuf Shah and Abdul Haseeb, who stayed in North Waziristan for two days and held talks with the Shura of the outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) at an undisclosed location in North Waziristan.
Sources further said some significant headway has been made during the talks between the members of committee and Taliban key commanders.
During the meeting in Akora Khattak today, the Taliban team members Professor Ibrahim and Yusuf Shah briefed Maulana Samiul Haq about their dialogue with the Taliban.
The Taliban committee is also likely to meet with the government team today.
