Three gas pipelines explode in RY Khan

RAHIM YAR KHAN: Three main gas pipelines exploded near Sikandarabad village on Sunday, sparking a fire. According to Rukanpur Police Station SHO Rana Muhammad Riaz no casualty was reported initially, while police, Rescue 1122, Civil Defence and other departments rushed to the spot and put out the fire. The SHO said the adjacent areas had been evacuated and police were investigating to ascertain the cause of the explosion in the pipelines. District emergency rescue officer Dr Abdul Sattar Javed said the exploded pipelines were supplying gas to RY Khan, Multan, Bahawalpur, Lahore and Faisalabad.
