Senate adopts resolution to protect women from illegal orders of Jirga
ISLAMABAD: The Senate on Wednesday unanimously adopted a resolution calling upon the government not to compromise on the rights of women and minorities in the peace dialogues with Taliban.
The resolution, moved by Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM)’s Nasreen Jalil, also urged the government to form a commission to protect women from the illegal orders of Jirgas.
